Club Handicap Race 1 and 2

A big up to Hannah for ensuring 2026 got off to a cracking start

Race 1 - in the sun of Sophia Gardens

Race 1 in the end of April saw sunshine and blue skies at Sophia Gardens. Expertly managed by Hannah, now in her second year as organiser of the 6 race series, start times (according to everyone) were added and a closely contested finish was anticipated. Although Jhon did volunteer himself for a time penalty after 'cutting' a corner the results were as follows:-

   It was great to also have guest runners come along as well as Ron for timing and several other helpers on the course.

Race 2 at Hailey park was a slightly more wet affair, although runners at Hailey Park were spared the worst of it by 7pm.

Bec was first home and duly received a winners gift (is this a new introduction to the series??) with Mark Furnish a second and Ben Gooding a speedy third and only 1 pewrson getting lost.
