02 Masters Championship
Masters championships are the same races but only include people who were 35 or older on January 1st. For 2026 there are 10 year age groups where we have members in those age groups - so for Men it's 40, 50, 60 and 70.
For women it's 35 and 45 only.
Q. what does 'M'/'LM' and 'V' refer to ?
We sometimes refer to Masters (M) and Ladies Masters (LM) categories as (V) Veterans categories which are basically age grouped classifications for those members of the club over the age of 35 (and that's a fair few of us). There is a British Masters Athletics Federation (BMAF) as well as Welsh Masters Athletics (WMA) website. Check them out if you want to find out about 35+ competitive running.
