Gwent League Cross Country Starts..
The 2026-27 season got off to a sunny (but blustery) start in Pembrey earlier this month...
The Gwent League has officially begun once again, with fixture 1 being in the beautiful Pembrey Country Park.
A fantastic start to the season for both our men's and women's team, performing well whist tackling a few sharp inclines, bends and sand dunes! The fixture was also the south Wales cross country championships with solid results there too.
Particular highlights were Susannah's white chocolate and raspberry flapjacks, and the luxury gazebo!
One down... five to go! There's still time to join us and to take part in the season if you'd like to give xc a try! Women's and Masters 65 men are c. 4miles whilst senior men's distance tends to be closer to 6 miles. You don't need to be available to compete for the whole series but its a great team building event and a good afternoon out. If you'd like to find out more, speak to Chris, our cross country team manager who can help advise on footwear, terrain, timings etc!
