Weekend Round Up - 16th/17th March

Updated: Mar 18

How far, how fast, how many...the club round up this weekend. Even more action than the 6 Nations!

Parkrun

Give us a Y!

Birthday girl Karen and Andy headed up to York and were joined by Dan who also took the opportunity to grab a parkrun beginning with Y. Alec was also hitting the northern trail with his run at Jesmond Dene and there was a strong contingent at the more local parkruns too.

James took on Porthcawl whilst Rob stretched the journey to Swansea Bay parkrun and enjoyed the scenic route. Havefordwest was the choice of Ceri and trumping everyone with distance was of course...Morwenna at the Kawana parkrun in Australia!

With so many people out and about Saturday, apologies anyone if we've missed you off the list! Don't worry, we'll be doing it all again next week!

Brechfa Trail Half Marathon

Johnny T experienced excellent home made soup..a fitting reward for a tough and well organised 13.1 mile trail race.

2. After Super Saturday, came Super Sunday!

It was a case of Merthyr take 2 for Lucy and Meg who ran the Merthyr Half Marathon with Lucy clocking a PB. Just rewards for all the miles she's been clocking in her marathon training.

Also clocking up the PBs were Aislin and Jack at the Weymouth Half. Set along the Jurassic Coast, we're thinking maybe a club race in the future? A bit different for sure. well done both!

JC was in the more sunny climes of Lisbon taking part in the super series with Lisbon Half Marathon now ticked off too!

On our club championship, Andy, Joey and Kevin took on the Brecon Canal 10 mile race as well...
