Weekend Round Up - Parkrun
This week’s parkrun roundup started down under with Morwenna at Ōrākei Bay in Auckland, New Zealand.
At Cardiff, new member Luke ran a PB, just like Jhon (who improved by over a minute on last time). New member Ryan was seconds off his PB too. Andy, Kev, Craig, Lechy and Karen also ran there whilst Ian O and Hywel were on marshalling duty.
At Llanishen Park, James H was home first with Tony, Ian B, George, Meg & John C behind him. Andrew U ran at Trelai Park, whilst Chris M, Mariona and Neil R were at Tremorfa.
Jack was second at Coed Cefn-Pwll du, with Ceri, Paulina, Cat, Niall & Joey at Newport. Down the road at Riverfront were Alex B, Dan L and Jonathan - who was first in his age category.
Jamie took a trip to Severn Bridge, Harry S ran in Pontypridd whilst James D went to do Barry Island as well as Renee, who completed her second parkrun.
Harry W was first at Cwmbran with Lucy also there, and Rob L also finished first at Hazelwood.
James Sibley ran at Cranbrook Country Park, Natalie and Simon did King George V Playing Field, Sue was at Salisbury and James Salter paced a mate at Penrose before travelling back ready for Lliswerry on Sunday morning.
Next week there’s a few new ones near Birmingham that are going to be tried out with The National Running Show taking part at the NEC!
Lliswerry 8
One of the most popular club races of the year and it's not difficult to see why; flat, local, not too long (and not too short), plus as always, great cakes and a few PB's too!
And there's more..
Some additional race results and some great scenery were also on the agenda!
Close to home, Chris M, Harry T and Andy W did the Craig yr Allt winter fell race. Harry finished 10th, with Chris 12th and Andy 38th in a field of nearly 90 runners.
James Salter decided to try the Northampton 10k, improving on his Festive 10k time by 20 seconds, finishing 3rd that’s a good bit of silverware in the space of a few weeks for James!
