A new handicap route plus parkrun 500 milestone and weekend race round up too!
Club Handicap Number 5 - It's Thornhill all the way!
Despite the unfamiliar course, the race was a success so big up to Ron for designing the course and Mel and Ron for managing the runners!
Twenty five ran it with Ron & Mel on the stopwatch  on a particularly wet night in Thornhill.
We had a few funny looks from the local residents running around some paths off Excalibur Drive.
Congrats to the top 3 - Armanda, Emily & Johnny T.
We also enjoyed a drink & food at the Pendragon afterwards as an excuse to watch some more athletics!
Thanks to Aisling, Karen & Craig for the photos.
2. Meanwhile, on Saturday..
The club were at 16 different parkruns.
Keeping local were Kev, Phil B & Chris M at Cardiff’s alternative course.
Congratulations to Phil Bristow for running his 500th parkrun.
Phil has done over 90% of those at Cardiff since his first one on February 23rd 2008 and has visited 19 other venues.
Congrats Phil & thanks for all the hard work you continue to do for the club!
Meg was at Llanishen whilst in Tremorfa Emily finished as first lady (whoop! whoop!), with Ian B, Ron & Sue in attendance.
Slightly further afield, Jamie went to Barry Island, whilst Joey, Andrew U & Andy G went to Cefn Coed Pwll Du.
Craig went to the original Y Promenad in Brecon as Rob L ran a fast one in Swansea Bay.
Along the Severn Channel, Dan L did Marine Parade & Niall was at Severn Bridge.
Away in England, Andy W went to Conkers and Lucy was in Bideford as Johnny T went to Druridge Bay.
James S was at Ford, Karen ran at Killerton and the Cartlidges enjoyed some sun in Sandall Park in Doncaster.
And Morwenna?...Morwenna was in Brightwater before the Sunshine Coast HM the following day (not that we're at all jealous!)
Well done everyone!
